  • HISTORY: Candy came to Caring For Creatures after her owner passed away.

With a tail that goes a mile-a-minute when she sees one of her favorite people, this little lady is sweet as Candy – hence the name! 6-year-old Chihuahua, Candy, found herself at Caring For Creatures after her owner passed away. She was scared and uncertain upon arrival, but she quickly found solace in the arms of a kind person. Candy currently spends her days in the CFC office, where she can be found vying for the attention of the office lady –often staring at her while cozied-up in a little dog bed until she is lulled into a deep slumber. She enjoys being held, and loves doling out kisses as a reward. We feel Candy would do best in a home where there are people around a lot of the time to give her plenty of attention, or with another small, toy-breed to keep her company. Coming in at a whopping 7 pounds, Candy is frightened of dogs that are larger than she and would prefer a quiet, laid-back home. Candy simply wants someone who has plenty of time to give her, and who will love and spoil her for the rest of her days.

If you have it in your heart and home for another Chihuahua in need, her senior companion from her previous home is currently residing at Peaceful Passings, a local senior animal rescue.  His name is Oreo and he is a 13-year-old black male Chihuahua.  It would be wonderful if these two could be reunited.  Both CFC and Peaceful Passings are open to placing them together.
