  • HISTORY: Daria found herself in a high-kill shelter after a sheriff seized her and her litter of puppies due to unlivable conditions.

Introducing Daria: one of the happiest ladies you will ever meet, despite some darker days in her previous life. Daria came to the sanctuary tail wagging and ready to make some new friends, and that attitude hasn’t stopped since! This girl will dance happily as you approach her pen and then sit, very politely, while you get her leashed and ready for a walk.  Once her paws touch the dusty road, she walks so nicely, again with her tail wagging to the beat of her steps, blissful and ready to explore the world.  She enjoys time racing around the arena, playing with stuffies and tug-toys, flipping them up in the air and just having the best time ever.   It isn’t long before she is ready to relax and hang-out and we imagine that she would be the perfect companion to snuggle up and watch some Netflix with.  She’s a smart girl who knows basic commands and even “shake!”  Daria will very gently take a treat for your fingertips when you feel so obliged to reward her for her fantastic behavior.   Daria has shown that she can enjoy play-dates with dogs who are likewise friendly with her, so we feel that she could be the match with another dog-friendly dog.   While at the previous shelter, she spent time in a foster, and did well adapting to home-living, and we feel that this lady is just patiently waiting for her own family and to enjoy permanent house-life. Get your application in on Daria today – we don’t think this lady will be here for long!
