  • HISTORY: Shirley was part of a feral colony but definitely was not feral. Unfortunately she tested FELV+.

I’m Shirley, possessor of the grandest ear tufts this side of the Mississippi. I’m a dainty little girl and I’m told that I’m as cute as a bug. I’m taking that as a compliment. I was frightened when I first arrived here but I have gradually become more and more comfortable with my home. My first attempts at play with the TurboScratcher toy were tentative but now I flop myself on it and romp “like nobody’s watching.” I’m a very generous giver of head bumps to loving hands and people say that they adore my gentle nature. I get along with all the other cats and am just a very peaceful little being. I have to confess that I’m a bit of a klutz and the usual feline grace is not something I’ll likely ever possess. Run your hand down my spine and my back will arch in pleasure and my plume of a tail will fly high over my cute rump. There are never enough caressing hands to go around here so it would be wonderful if you would come, sit with me and my roomies, and gift us with the love we so adore.
