MR. MEOWGI

HISTORY: Mr. Meowgi was surrendered from a large unmanaged cat colony with ~100 cats.

When Mr. Meowgi arrived at CFC he was extremely shy of people and was not interested in any kind of attention from people. In his former life at the colony he had very few social interactions with people and as a result he hadn’t learned to trust humans and accept affection.

Fast forward a few months….
It seems from the moment Mr. Meowgi’s condo doors were opened for him to come out to explore his new area, he slowly decided that people were ok. He began allowing our very patient and loving volunteers to pet him. Not long after he decided people were wonderful and is now is a extremely loving and affectionate kitty! He will follow you around and rub against your legs seeking attention. He is allowing the people he trusts to pick up him up for cuddles!

Mr. Meowgi gets along well with the other cats in his room at The Scratching Post. He spends a great deal of his day cat napping in fellow former colony cat, Dill’s, condo. He hasn’t shown interest in cat toys at the moment, at least not while humans are around.

We believe he would do well in a home with another compatible cat he can be friends with.
