Update May 2023: Meet Cecily, a long time resident of The Scratching Post who has come a long way in her journey to trusting people. She is a bit shy when meeting new people. Though once you have gained her trust she enjoys the attention she receives. Cecily prefers to spend her days out on the catio, lounging on a chair or cat tree. She gets along well with the other cats in her room, although Cecily spends a good portion of her time to herself and does not seek attention from them. She hasn’t show any interest in playing with cat toys, at least while humans are around to observe. We feel Cecily would flourish in a quiet home with a cat savvy person, willing to give her time and space to adjust to a new environment with or without other cats.
Fall 2022 Update: “I’m not an active kitty and enjoy relaxing and reclining on the catio,” explains our pretty, sleek jacketed lady Cecily. Cecily is a low key, delightful lady who comes in peace! Almost 100% of the time, she will be found on a fleece bed close to the wire mesh on her catio. Also, most of the time, you will find her surrounded by other like minded kitties, all flat and stretched out and enjoying her calm, welcoming aura. Cecily is open to soft some human pets but is likewise content to simply chill near you. With no emerging health concerns, Cecily looks forward to embracing the pretty fall leaf show and cooler temps.
