CLOVER

COURTESY POST ONLY!

THE BASICS:

This is a courtesy post. If you can help Clover, or have any questions, please text Stephanie at 434-825-3715. This is a long term foster – expenses paid.  Posted March 30, 2023

“Clover is a 7 year old female/spayed beagle mix looking for a long term temporary foster for around 6 months to 1 year . I am a single mom with two kids and we are having to move in with my parents. My parents have two dogs and a 1700 square foot house and I feel adding two pets to their dynamic would be too much.

Clover was originally adopted at the age of 6 months-1yr from the SPCA. They were unclear as to her history prior to her being brought in as a stray and treated, but when clover came to us it was clear she had been abandoned. She was very afraid of trash trucks and buses in the neighborhood and would army crawl on the leash towards home.

Clover enjoys snuggles, children, hiking, and attention (that can include playing dress up or tea party with her favorite little humans). She also gets along well with other dogs, cats, and horses. Clover doesn’t just enjoy being active, she is also very happy snuggling on the couch all day. Clover loves food and thinks she is hungry all the time and sometimes her love for food can lead her to counter surf if items are left out and unattended.

Clover is house trained and will let owners know when she has a need (food/water/walk) by “talking” and then barking. I can’t say enough about how genuinely sweet this dog is. What I love most about clover is her humility. She will stand in line behind the cat to drink water! She is really special and this is really hard!

Clover tested negative for heartworms upon being brought into the SPCA and continues to test negative as we do keep her on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention. These are the only prescriptions she currently has and she is also up-to-date on all of her vaccines.

She enjoys hikes, attention (that can include playing dress up or tea party with her favorite little humans) and food, but is also very happy snuggling on the couch all day. We are seeking a long term foster home in which we will pay expenses until we are able to bring her back home.

The best way to get into contact with me is by texting 434-825-3715. This has been extremely hard on us and we are really hopeful someone would be able to help us with our sweet girl Clover.”
