“Gunner is located at the Isle of Wight SPCA, VA animal shelter and has been there a year as of September 15th. This is a rural shelter with no foot traffic. He is 2 years old, approximately 45 lbs., up to date on vaccines, intact, and tested heartworm positive. He has finished his 30 days of Doxycycline and is on his fourth month of Advantage Multi. He has donations in the amount of $130 to help with medical costs. Gunner is a beautiful, playful hound who loves to explore. He loves people but can be shy at first meeting. He seems to be fine with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for someone. We have contacted rescues for many, many months trying to find rescue for Gunner and three other hounds who are the longest residents here with no space being found. This is a good boy who has spent half of his life at this shelter and deserves a chance at a wonderful life.Thanks so much for taking the time to consider Gunner.”
