HISTORY: Found as a stray and brought to a shelter in a neighboring county. Adopted from an adoption event, but did not do well with cats. The dog was surrendered to Caring For Creatures.

His pedigree is a mixed bag and guesses range from Jack Russell Terrier mix to a Boston Terrier mix and even a terrier/boxer mix. But the best part of Patrick is he’s all heart. He is eager to learn new things and is pleased when he has earned your approval. He loves playing with toys and will entertain himself for periods of time.

It’s important that we also remind you that Patrick will need someone who is willing to devote the time and patience to provide him with the tools he needs to live his best life with you. He needs stability and a schedule he can count on. It also includes signing him up for training classes and following through with everything the two of you learn when back at home. Patrick needs plenty of physical exercise everyday to keep him happy and engaged with the world around him. Pretty much what all dogs need!

Volunteer Update 2025: What a pocket size, spit fire of a pup! Little dynamo PATRICK is the biggest smile maker. A newer resident here, already he has a vast and loyal fan base and folks love reaching for him. Graced with plenty of bounce, bounce and a strong desire to go and do, Patrick is immensely fun and infectious. Very much a teen at heart and also on paper, this guy will need YOUR help in working him through his extra energy so he can be his best pet self. Patrick has a big, vibrant and very loving personality and for him to be in the thick of things in a more busy home will tap right into his pet skill set.
