HISTORY: Casey was found as a stray.

Winter 2025 Update: I’m always pretty pleased to see my friend Scott. He’s a volunteer and comes a couple of times a week to love on pretties just like me, CASEY. Our relationship has been slowly building and my comfort level has been slowly developing around this calm, patient man. Now, I will reward his efforts by hopping off the top of condo where I normally reside with kitty Cera (whom I use as my personal backrest and best friend/confidant), and position myself on a shorter condo which is nearly at eye level. Right by the door when you enter my room, I am now first up when Scott enters. I get the freshest of pets and likewise he has the freshest of compliments of which he has not already used on everyone else in the room. Ps. Scott says “She’s as cute as always.” CASEY.

Spring Update 2025: Our pretty grey jacketed lady CASEY may have run her course in using kitty Cera as her personal bookend/ personal backrest. More recently, Cera has taken up with another click of kitties but no need to be super concerned about this pretty lady as she’s still doing just fine. She’s getting a bit more brave and hanging out on the top of a condo which is right by the door as you enter her room. Kitty Sally might also be there which is fine by her. With the warmer temps, she’s also venturing outside more so she is shaking things up on her own terms. Casey still loves getting personal rub down sessions from her fave volunteer Scott. She luxuriates as he starts from her head and meticulously works his way all over and around her body. With kitties being rehomed and in turn new kitties added to her room, perhaps a new 4 legged friend is on the horizon for her? Let’s see what happens over the summer, shall we?

Spring 2024 Update: My good friend Volunteer Scott calls me his “Primo Model.”  This makes my heart feel full and loved.  You see,  when I see him coming, I get in position.  In position, you ask?  Well,  typically I will be on the top of a condo and he will slowly come on over,  climb up on a step stool and then the love fest begins.  I will literally push my way to be right in front of him and then pose for him…making other kitties who might be with me….go to the wayside.  I want to be his focus and the recipient of ALL his attention if possible,  so I’ll assert myself accordingly.   On most occasions,  CERA will be relaxing with me and she’s so pliable and easy going, that she’d never make a fuss about my behavior.  Scott being the Mr Nice Guy that he is,  will also make sure Cera gets her helping of loving so it all works out in the end.   I’m still not one to venture out on the floor much unless I see the large, shiny platters of wet food being distributed by staff so if you are stopping by,  look up and likely you’ll find me!   I’m healthy and happy and want for nothing.  CASEY
