Female

Brown Tabby with a white blaze on chest and white paws.

HISTORY:  Aspen was trapped from a local cat colony.  She was found with extensive injuries to her face and eye.  Sadly,  we could not save her eye but she gets around with the one eye without any issues.

We dare you to NOT be drawn to our pretty tabby lady ASPEN. This delightful, kind and most sweet natured girl has not had an easy life and is taking it one day at a time to be her best pet self. We are immeasurably proud of Aspen as slowly but surely, she’s sharing with us all of her pet greatness.

Arriving as an injured cat from the local cat colony we are working hard to “shut done,” her eye was in very bad shape and she was terrified. With her sight compromised and in a very new environment, she was terribly unsettled and unhappy….understandably so. Fast forward several months and she’s now much more happy and healed. We were not able to save her damaged eye but truly, she gets around like any kitty with normal vision. Relaxed and at ease, she’s ready to meet YOU!

Very much a creature of habit, she’s typically found on a shelf lounging near a window. Rarely do we find her outside on the catio area, but it can happen. Slowly stroll on over and introduce yourself and let her welcome you with a soft purr and perhaps even a tiny squeak of a meow of greeting. Give her some soft strokes along her back and watch her slowly arch up in pleasure. Still a little shy and a tad reserved, she’s all heart and such a divine being. A favorite amongst some of the staff, it’s not unusual for one staff member in particular to stop by her room (before starting her morning rounds) just to check in on her “girl.”

Aspen is never pushy and does not ask for much. She gets along great with the other cats in the room not necessarily seeking them out for companionship but also not unwelcoming of their advances to her. Aspen tends to be more quiet and seems content to quietly relax, chill and take in all the action of the room while intermittently peeking out the window to catch the outside action. A more quiet home where she can settle in and continue to grow into her best pet self would be ideal for our pretty lady. Aspen has come so far in her journey to find the creature comforts of a loving home and we can’t wait to meet the family that can see all of her pet greatness. Perhaps that person is you?? Aspen surely hopes so.
