BRANCH

HISTORY:  Branch was trapped at the local cat colony and arrived with Chenille, Mr. Dinkles, Siena and Satin.

Branch is a handsome, fluffy guy and he joined us as the shy, quiet type – frozen in place but touchable. He would squeeze his eyes closed while we were in his space. He let us know he was very worried about us and his surroundings by hiding behind his litter box for our first little while together. When we rubbed his head or cheek, we didn’t get much response at all. But soon he started to peek around his bed when we’d enter the room and we were so proud of his progress! He took his time but finally came out into the open and we could see how beautiful he really was! He showed us he was curious and friendly pretty quickly.

Originally landing at Magnolia Cove, he didn’t stay there long before he was moved to the Post kitchen and then into Room L1 soon after.  From his new and more permanent room, he carefully watched the others from afar. He was a quick study and after  just a couple of months,  he had settled in confidently! We learned he is a natural in a group setting. A typical day for him is reclining on the Catio with any combo of L1 friends, but he seems a little partial to Wynn, Spanx, Sally and Rossi.

Branchie (he’s that kind of cat – he can’t NOT have a pet name) is almost two and will make a great cat AND people companion. We’d prefer he go to a home with another cat friend (or adopt one of his buddies!). He’s very happy in his environment but would be even happier in a loving home.

October 2026 Update: Branch has come out of his shell in such a BIG way! He really, really loves other cats. He has a very calming presence, mixing gently with everyone in his space. He loves treats and likes to sit near you while he enjoys them. He’s not a lap cat but he loves to people watch, so maybe one day? You can almost always spot this very chill boy sprawled on the L1 Catio, with the breeze ruffling his silky fur. When his eyes are closed now, we love that it means he’s relaxed. He’s ready for his next adventure!
