DSH- White and Orange

HISTORY: Charlotte was transferred from Nelson SPCA, along with her bonded “sister” Mosaic.

MEDICAL NOTE: Charlotte has chronic URI issues.

Meet Charlotte, a lovely orange and white senior cat. She is very friendly and enjoys receiving attention and affection from people. Charlotte is quite comfortable being held. Despite her age, Charlotte has a youthful spirit that shines through her interactions, especially when a new person enters the room. Her eyes light up with curiosity, and she never shies away from making new friends. However, she does experience chronic URI symptoms, primarily manifesting as sneezing. Charlotte is also known for her playful nature, often batting at toys with surprising agility for her age. She absolutely loves taking a turn playing with wand toys!

Charlotte arrived with her inseparable “sister,” Mosaic, with whom she has spent most of her life. Although they are currently in separate condos, they were transferred from the Nelson County SPCA, where they shared a room, often relaxing together on a bed and grooming one another. While Charlotte has yet to explore beyond her condo here at the sanctuary, the Nelson County SPCA shared that she interacts well with other cats and often joined their kittens during playtime. Their bond is truly remarkable, showcasing years of companionship and affection. Mosaic, a striking calico, complements Charlotte’s gentle nature with her own playful spirit. Together, they create a perfect pair, each enhancing the other’s unique qualities.

For anyone considering adopting Charlotte and Mosaic, rest assured that these two will bring double the joy and companionship. Their combined presence is sure to create an atmosphere of warmth and laughter, making every day a little brighter.

More about us Jan 2026: Girl’s Night Out
Three months after their arrival at CFC, the newest denizens of the Senior Room, Charlotte and Momo (aka Mosaic), are out of their condos!

They had their first taste of freedom two weeks ago when they were allowed out during the day. Charlotte immediately explored the room but her sister, Momo, was more restrained. It took her a few days to decide whether coming out was worth the effort.

Charlotte quickly engaged with the other Senior Room residents. She and Abu even did some play-chasing. This could become a budding romance as I’ve now seen Abu chase her twice more. He leaps on her back and she submissively flops to the floor whereupon he grasps the nape of her neck. She seems completely unperturbed by his advances.

After Christmas, both girls were allowed out full time. Charlotte likes to visit others’ condos. So far, I’ve seen her in Rocco’s, Momo’s and, of course, Abu’s. Charlotte also craves affection. She follows humans around and enjoys cuddling on their laps.

Momo is more reserved about being out but still rolls onto her back for tummy rubs whenever anyone approaches her in her condo. Steve, CFC Volunteer
