HISTORY: Felicia was surrendered along with her littermates Farkle and Fergus from a large unmanaged cat colony.

Meet Felicia! She is an adorable black kitten who came to CFC along with her littermates, Farkle and Fergus. After being here at the sanctuary a few days, we observed that she was quite unwell, prompting our medical team to initiate an extensive process that lasted nearly a month to restore her health. Felicia required daily medication, syringe feedings and, on occasion, needed her face to be cleaned several times a week as she fought against a severe viral infection and URI.

When Felicia first arrived, she was not only quite ill, but also very shy around people, a common trait among cats from the colony. In her previous life, she had minimal social interactions with humans, preventing her from learning to trust them or embrace affection, which is essential for a kitten’s development.

Look at the progress Felicia has started to make! While she is still a bit shy when meeting new people, once Felicia feels at ease, she will allow you to pet her. She may even appreciate some cuddle time. For the moment, however, Felicia prefers to keep her paws firmly on the ground!

Felicia has a wonderful bond with her littermates, Farkle and Fergus. Before they were separated for spaying and neutering, they could often be found in a cozy cuddle puddle, playing together and even sharing their canned food! If you’re in search of an adorable black kitten—or perhaps even a pair—look no further than Felicia!
