This handsome kitty came with the moniker of Gray-Gray. I know! But after meeting this sweetheart and receiving multiple nose boops, we had to change his name. He needed a strong name to highlight his masculine persona. Mason it is; a strong name (stone worker-with a gentle soul). It fits him purrfectly. He took his time to observe his new roommates from the comfort of the open door of his condo before exploring his new digs. He has made friends quickly and is now one of the first to greet you. We are working on making him a lap kitty but we will take the nose boops and belly rubs till then. This Mason will be building many new friendships.
More about me: Meet Mason, a beautiful gray and white cat. He first appeared at the home of the owner of “Pat’s Little Angels” in West Virginia. Initially, they believed he was a “feral” cat, but soon discovered that he was simply very frightened. Once he acclimated to his surroundings, he began to follow the husband around outside, clearly seeking attention! They had hoped to rehome him with Meow’s Corner, a cat café, but sadly, he tested positive for FeLV+. That was when we were contacted to inquire if we could accommodate him in one of our FeLV+ rooms. On the day Mason arrived, he was incredibly curious and eagerly sought attention from everyone who came to visit him!
Fast forward to the present, Mason has become quite a social butterfly, relishing his interactions with people. He greets you with playful nose boops and eagerly seeks out attention, especially enjoying belly rubs. However, he isn’t particularly keen on having his ears touched. During his initial vet visit, just a week after his arrival, he was diagnosed with a mild ear infection that required daily ear drops. Whether it was due to the discomfort from the drops or the pain from his condition, he still prefers to keep his ears undisturbed. Our volunteers are dedicated to transforming him into a lap kitty, but for now, they happily accept his nose boops and belly rubs.
Mason enjoys the company of the other cats in the FeLV+ room at The Scratching Post, although he also appreciates his moments of solitude also. You can usually spot him relaxing either in a cozy corner of the room or out on the catio, enjoying the view of CFC. Whether it’s watching one of the dogs being walked by a volunteer or observing the birds fluttering around, he takes it all in! He also loves spending time playing with cat toys and is particularly fond of chasing a wand toy when engaging with a human!
If you’re searching for a friendly, gentle, and playful FeLV+ cat, Mason is the perfect choice for you. With his charming personality and affectionate nature, he is sure to bring joy and companionship to any home. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Mason, you’ll not only gain a loyal friend but also become part of a community that cherishes and supports these special cats. Come meet Mason and see for yourself the magic he brings to every day!
