HISTORY: Ruth was surrendered to CFC from a local cat colony.
Meet Ruth! When she first arrived at the sanctuary, she was understandably scared, just like many of the other cats in the colony. With limited interactions with humans in her past, she found it difficult to trust them or accept affection. However, the compassionate staff and volunteers here are patient and kind, recognizing that trust cannot be hurried; it must be cultivated gradually over time.
Take a moment to appreciate the remarkable change Ruth has undergone in her brief time at the sanctuary. She now meets us with an inquisitive look, her previously cautious eyes softened by the comfort of familiarity. Yearning for affection and attention, Ruth delights in having her head gently stroked, leaning in for more and softly chuffing against your hands!
Ruth has recently been relocated to a new room at The Scratching Post, where she has started to explore her surroundings and meet the other cats. While she is a bit shy around them as she gets acquainted, we’re confident she will thrive in their company. With people, however, she is full of enthusiasm and enjoys being petted; she may even roll over to show her belly to someone she trusts deeply.
We are excited to see her personality flourish as she becomes more confident around both humans and felines! Ruth’s gentle demeanor and curious nature suggest that she will adapt well to her new companions. With time and patience, we are certain that Ruth will find her place in this furry family, creating bonds that may last a
lifetime.
