“Meet sweet Luna! 🌜🐾
She is a stunning blonde GSD (approximately 1.5 yo). My husband and I took her in to provide a safe place (after she was dumped by her former owner) while we searched for a more permanent solution. We have had her fully vetted and she is in excellent health. She is chipped, but there is no name associated with that account.
Luna is:
✅ Fully vetted, heartworm negative
✅ Up-to-date on all routine vaccines
✅ On flea, tick, and parasite prevention
✅ Crate trained and house trained
✅ Respectful of the home — excellent house manners. She is higher energy outdoors.
✅Gets along fine with our two (senior) dogs, but would also do well as a solo companion.
✅ Walks well on leash
✅ Knows basic commands
✅ Loves water and adventure
✅Does fine with kids (needs supervision initially with small kids)
✅Loves belly rubs and to snuggle
✅ Thrives on daily zoomies.Will Need daily exercise. Would be a great agility dog.
✅Loves long car rides
✅Handles new situations very well
❌High prey drive. Not suitable for a home with cats and small critters
She’s incredibly affectionate, eager to bond with her person, and shows a beautiful willingness to learn. Initially we noticed that she gets anxious when overstimulated and reacts with confusion to sudden handling (suddenly grabbing her collar). That is not an issue presently, but I feel like that is good for any new handlers to know. She needs a calm and assertive leader, with GSD experience who can guide her patiently, helping her feel secure and more confident. Once she trusts you, she offers a deep loyalty. We live on a farm with a lot of small critters, making it too overstimulating for her and stressful for us, which is why we are not a good fit for her. Other than her high prey drive, she is an amazing gal and will make someone a very happy dog Mama or Daddy. ❤️
