PEBBLES

Male
Heeler
Pebbles is a soon to be 7 year old Blue Heeler mix who has been a one family dog since he was initially rescued and adopted out when he was 12 weeks old. Pebbles is very smart and simultaneously very goofy! He loves “scratchies”, ample affection, and loves to play with squeaky toys or soccer! He still gets the “zoomies” outside when it’s time to go on a walk, hike, or other adventure, but is equally content lazing around the house as a furry couch potato. He is a loyal and loving companion.
He is housetrained, and does not have accidents. He is not destructive – he can be left at home alone without scratching, chewing, getting into the trash, or barking. He will just be wagging his tail at the door when you get home! He has good recall; he knows commands, such as sit, stay, lie down, shake, wait, etc. He is good on leash once he’s been reminded to heel. He does well with other animals, but prefers to meet new dog friends off leash.
Pebbles is neutered, and up to date on all vaccines and heartworm tests/medications. He is also microchipped. He is around 65lbs with a short to medium coat. He requires a very low dose of prednisone twice weekly to keep him in remission from an autoimmune disease. He also gets allergy flare ups from time to time, which cause him to have red and itchy paws. His allergies are currently completely under control, and ideally Pebbles would remain on the same type of food to help keep his allergies at bay.
Pebbles needs a new furever home because he has never taken to being a “big brother” with one small child with another on the way. Pebbles has gradually shown more fear-based aggression when he feels trapped and unfortunately he bit the child that is in the home due to this. Now his owners are seeking to place him in a home with NO children for Pebble’s long term well being and stress.
Ask for Jennie at CFC for more info if you can help Pebbles. We will ask potential families to fill out a CFC adoption application.
