Bully Mix

Hi, my name is Chris and my boy’s name is Rocky. Rocky is a four year old, 80 lb. neutered American Bully. I have had Rocky since he was 5 months old. Rocky was given to me by my ex-girlfriend. At that time, there were two of us caring for him. Unfortunately, the relationship ended this past October and Rocky and I were on our own. I am a truck driver and spend long hours away from home. Rocky and I became road companions as he rode in my work truck everyday. (Good Rider!!) All was fine until the company I work for, mandated a new rule that dogs could no longer accompany drivers in their trucks. This was a big blow for us. Being at home alone for hours caused Rocky to develop separation anxiety, which means I now have to crate him while I am at work.
With no one to help and moving to a new area, I have no one to check in on him. I worry everyday that I won’t make it home until late due to traffic, accidents or breakdowns. Rocky deserves so much more!Rocky is a very gentle soul with a sweet personality. He loves snuggles, kisses and putting his big head in your lap. He listens well, loves walks and is great on a leash.I do not feel at this time that I can give Rocky what he deserves, more attention and freedom from his crate. I love him and want him to only have the best. With that being said I can not-give him to just anyone. It has to be perfect, for him!

I feel like Rocky would thrive in a family setting. Rocky has very little experience with young children. I think he would do best in a one dog home environment where he gets all the attention. I love Rocky very much and this decision has not come easy for me, but sometimes doing what is best for others can bring pain along with joy. I look forward to meeting Rocky’s new family soon!

Regards, Chris
