HISTORY: CFC rescued Charley from a high-kill shelter on 11/21/2020 and placed him directly into a home, where he lived until 8/8/2023. Due to a conflict with one of the resident dogs, Charley could no longer stay in the home, and he was welcomed into the sanctuary at that time.
All you Lab lovers out there, do we have the dog for you.? Yes indeed we do. Meet the most Excellent Charley.
Sir Charles, as I like to call him, is the whole package. Not only is he beautiful, but he has the brains to match. Charley is house broken, very crate trained, obedience trained and eager to please. He knows sit, down, sit up, watch, wait, leave it, and off, and is happy to do so. Super smart this fella is. He is great on leash and walks like a gentleman. He will even heel, although we do not ask him to. This guy just wants to please. Happy to meet everyone with love, kisses, and exuberance. He knows no stranger. Charley is very energetic and loves long walks. Charley can be dog selective, but has lived in a house with dogs in the past. While on walks here he tends to only focus on his human, and ignores the other dogs.
Charley does have some separation anxiety, but is on medicine to help with that. We feel that in a very structured environment, he may no longer need to take medicine at all. Like all dogs, Charley just needs to have a routine that he can rely on. Consistency is the key to success. Come meet this handsome Einstein in person.
