Churro is an absolute sweetheart when he warms up to you. He is approximately 2 years old and a Great Pyrenees mix. He is crate-trained, house-trained, and up to date with all his vaccinations and he is neutered. He is tolerant of dogs he has been able to sniff and they give him space. He has been able to cohabit well with my female dog and plays with her, but he can be fearful and reactive with other dogs and people, especially at first. He is super affectionate, athletic, curious, playful, and protective.

I adopted him from the SPCA, and he has been with me for three months. I have been training him with a clicker; he is very food-motivated. He has experienced trauma in his life, and I think this is what the reactivity is due to. He has a mostly unknown history but was found by animal control after he was hit by a car last October. Luckily, he has no lasting injuries! I live in an apartment complex with many other dogs, so it is very difficult to avoid triggers. I believe he would do much better if he lived in a house with a backyard or a less dog-populated apartment complex! He has never been around cats or kids, so I am unsure how he would do with them.

It breaks my heart to need to part with him! He might take a little to warm up to you, but once he does, he will be your best friend.
