HISTORY:  Siblings Connie and Sue found themselves in a very challenging outside environment which was complicated by the fact that their human was severely ill in the hospital.  Alerted to their situation, we stepped up to help this lovely pair of pups.

Connie and Sue arrived filthy, underweight, infested with fleas and ticks, clearly hungry and scared. We immediately began to give the pups the medical attention they needed, some good grocery, a warm heated house, a bath, and lots of love. We have been giving them time to recover physically and emotionally. We wanted to give them time to feel better before we really started to work on their training. They need to just be puppies, and learn that now they can just concentrate on that, rather than where their next meal is coming from. They are now putting on weight and their personalities are starting to come out.

Sue is the more confident of the 2 pups and has already learned to sit, and is doing well with leash walking. Connie is a little more reserved, but is also learning her basics as well. Both pups are extremely sweet, and enjoy the company of all of us here. They are learning to play with toys and us as well. We named these puppies Connie and Sue to honor 2 of our long term volunteer dog walkers who are close friends. Their new names seem to fit them well. Note: About 35lbs Feb 2025.

Looking for some fluffy, lovable puppies? Come and meet these 2 little ladies.
