HISTORY: Luna is a transfer for a Greene County shelter. She was struggling during ringworm treatment so they reached out to us hoping to secure a safe and more peaceful, healing spot for her. She’s doing great!
Is her middle name “Cheerleader?” Perhaps it’s “Friend to All?” No matter her real middle name, we’re pretty sure you’ll be smitten at first wet nose, first kiss and first “sit” with pretty lady LUNA. Folks, this girl is a real beauty. Dressed for success in a sleek, brindle coat, she’s young on paper and young at heart. Described as “sweet and loving everyone she meets,” we’re sure you’ll find a good friend…no, a best friend with Luna by your side. Luna was quick to make friends at the Sanctuary and it looks like Scooby (2 yr old male bully mix) is her bestie doggy friend. She’s done well meeting other dogs as well so a home with other 4 leggeds might just perfectly suit her style. Luna has crated well with some encouragement and if you love to travel and take your doggy for car trips, she’s your new gal pal! Eager to please, treat motivated and already great at “down and sit,” she’s working hard on the off command and overall making great strides in the training area. Luna is a bouncy, playful girl, petite too (just 28lbs!) who wants to please her person and love on her person. Might that person be you?
More about me November: Oh, my heart be still! Is this girl, LUNA truly an adult? She has the look and feel of the most darling of darling teen pups but I’ve been assured she is an adult. You go girl! LUNA is so delightful, full of love and play and what a free spirit! She’s full tilt out of the gates quickly running off some cat zoomies and then it’s time to literally leap in her human’s lap for some TLC and loving! Luna has no idea just how cute and adorable she is. Less than 30lbs, she has a spindly, athletic frame and fine boned limbs which truly add to her appeal. She’s currently rooming with teen hound sensation ATTICUS and what a joy it is to see the 2 of them wrestling, jousting and beautifully engaging with each other. Luna is likely best suited having a full time playmate to help keep her at her best and or a family that is more active and can keep her limbs and brain busy, busy. You’ll not find a shy bone in our pretty lady so when you first meet, plan on plenty of darting kisses, lap draping and rolling over on her back hoping for some much needed and deserved belly rubs. What’s not to love about our sweet gal LUNA?? Come by and see why all the chatter is about petite brindle delight!
More about me October: Luna now does very well when entering her enclosure. She has learned the Off command well. She has also learned to sit for pets, the down, watch, and leave it commands well. She also is much improved with leash walking. Luna also has become our new puppy playschool mom. She goes for regular play dates with Atticus, Finch, Lilly, and Tilly. She also will crate on command while in the arena and patiently wait while we put her puppy friends away. She doesn’t even vocalize about it. Such a good girl. I figured you already had the outing and car riding info, so this was just to show how she has progressed, and her great social skills with puppies.
