SIMON

HISTORY:  Simon was born at CFC to Momma Violet and adopted as a puppy.  Sadly,  when his person passed away,  he found himself back under our care and in need of a new home.

SIMON sez, “You’re guaranteed to have a good time….no, a GRAND time…with me by your side.” And he’s right!! Simon gets the highest of markings for being super friendly, welcoming and the most snuggly 4 legged friend you’re apt to meet. Sadly, Simon lost his first and only full time pet position when his person passed away. Our most loving and affectionate fella however, has hardly missed a beat in settling into his new temp home here, perhaps thinking his former human would like him to quickly get on with his life and bring so much joy and happiness to another family.

And this is where YOU, yes you come into play!! At 3 yrs of age, Simon knows how to get the pet job done. He is full of mighty tail wags, hip swivels and graced with the best smile the minute he sets eyes on you. He’s going to welcome you like a long lost, good friend. Add some Nyla style toys and or balls to your meeting and then let him put on an amazing show of toting the toys around, leaning into you and really “digging” all the pets and belly rubs you care to offer him. Note: This guy is not shy about offering up his belly on a first date!

Graced with a playful, silly, goofy personality, no doubt there’s even more personality to discover as we get to know Simon and he settles in even more. For now, he jokingly has a nickname of Linus as he’s almost always found with a toy in his mouth similar to how the Charlie Brown character, Linus always had a blankie in his arm dragging behind him. LOL. Our good looking friend arrived a bit chunky and thick in the middle, so please no body shaming! We’re working on his exercise regiment and a diet to bring out his more slim, trim look which is surely to catch YOUR eye! In his prior life, Simon shared his home with 4 other dogs so it might be an option in his new home to share his life with another doggy.

Simon sez, “No time like the present to add sunny faced me to your home. Times are just better with me by your side and in your lap. I hope since you’ve read this far about me, you’ll give me that chance to hop right back in the pet saddle and allow me to add plenty of unconditional love and pure companionship to your life.”

More about me Jan 2026 from Trainer Wen: Simon AKA Linus is quite the character. When he goes for walks, prized bone in mouth, his body wiggles uncontrollably with happiness. He sachets, and prances, while telling all about his joy. He makes the cutest vocalizations, which are muffled because he is literally talking with his mouth full. He likes to converse with his dog neighbors as well. He and Lana trash talk to each other. In his defense she started it. Simon can be heard by all as he announces his presence. Yes this guy is talking while walking. Seems he wants all to know his joy and elation when he is with his people. Simon really craves attention and has no problem telling you so. He will sing to you then cling to you. No matter where Simon is, or what he is doing, his bone is always with him. (Most often it is in his mouth) Simon thinks he is a lap dog, and will happily sit on you for some snuggles. But buyer beware! Hims may fart on you on occasion and will happily stay with you for a lengthy snooze. He also really likes to hold hands/paws. I think he just doesn’t want to let you go, or for you to leave him. He is such a sweet dog and truly loves his people that much. Simon likes to play fetch and sometimes doesn’t let you have the ball back unless you have another for trade. Simon is good with kids and has lived with other dogs before in his previous home. Simon is also house trained. This dog has a huge personality and is full of love with a little goofball mixed in. He also is a big fan of karaoke.
