HISTORY: Sweet Pea found herself in need of a safe spot when her person passed away leaving no one to care for her.

Sweet Pea has a huge presence. She may be medium sized, but her personality is huge, and boy does she love her people. Sweet Pea can be a little bit shy at first with strangers, especially men. But don’t let that deter you. Once she gets to know you, you’ve got a friend for life. While quite exuberant when 1st greeting her walkers, she calms down nicely. Sweet Pea is a very happy girl when she is with her humans. Did I forget to mention that adorable puppy face? See it for yourself. She is very smart and wants to please. She has taken well to learning her basic training and is working hard on her off command. She does well in the office and crates nicely for overnights. We were also told that she is house trained. This young pupper has lots of energy and sweetnest to spare. Come and meet your new best friend here at CFC.

This beautiful 1.5-year-old pup came to us after her beloved human passed away unexpectedly, leaving her without a home or family. While we wish we could say she’s settled into sanctuary life, the truth is—she hasn’t. Sweet Pea spends her days anxiously pacing, clearly searching for the comfort and connection she once had.

Volunteer Update April 2025: It’s funner with me by YOUR side.  It was easy for folks to name me SWEET PEA ’cause that’s exactly what I am.   All dressed for success with my dark brindle coat,  you’ll not find any rough edges in my personality- It’s all sweetness, guaranteed!  At 2 yrs of age,  not only am I graced with a more sporty body style but my personality and outlook in life is sporty, fun loving and yes, I’m ready to get the party going.  I can be a little jumpy and super, super kissy and swarming but the nice folks here are working on bringing a little more “tameness” to my bouncy self.   Already, I’m earning rave reviews with progress in this area.  I have a very playful, youthful feel and going and doing and simply being active,  will help keep me at my best.  Never meeting a stranger, a busier home will beautifully match my pet style and my desire to seek out that next grand adventure.   At 45lbs,  I’m a mid-sized girl with a big, loving and most wonderful personality.  I’m hoping you’ll come by to experience all that I have to offer as YOUR new, full time pet.  Don’t forget, ask to meet me,  Sweet Pea!
