Pointer/Hound Mix
HISTORY: Transfer from HOW’s.
Waldo is on the hunt for his forever home! He is a 10 month old mix and is pure sweetness to his core. Used to living at large for the first months of his life, he is now learning the good life of companionship, structure, toys, sofa snuggles, splashing in water (pools are a definite favorite of his), and everything else the world has to offer. Waldo benefits from other confident dogs showing him the ropes, but still thrives with one-on-one training time to show him he can be confident all on his own, too. He is a curious, and absolutely goofy boy. It’s next to impossible not to fall for him with his perfect puppy head tilt and stunning amber eyes. His favorite thing in the world is the companionship of another dog, but it’s important for him to have his special alone time to bond with his human, too. He is in the height of his “teenage years” so consistent training is a must, since he already started out behind the curve on learning boundaries. He is eager to please, happy-go-lucky, and enjoys chewing a benebone or Kong to wind down at night. He will lay alongside you or at your feet in bed throughout the night, making sure some part of his body is touching you, so he knows you’re still there. He is getting used to a crate to structure potty training (again, he’s a bit behind due to roaming free for his crucial developmental months), and he’s learning fast. He still gets nervous if left alone, but a bit more time with consistency and patience, and he will definitely settle into feeling secure. He always has us laughing and adoring his silly, endearing, and absolutely precious antics.
